Devon is a proven, passionate, energetic educator, entrepreneur, speaker, and coach.
Holding B.S. in Recreation and Leisure Services Management and a Master's Degree in Multicultural Education, Devon is founder and serves as Executive Director for a growing non-profit called the F.O.C.U.S. Youth Network, which since Nov of 2016, has served over 1200 youth in Philadelphia through innovative programs centered around Wellness and Nutrition Education, Character Development, and College and Career Readiness. Devon believes strongly that, "providing youth with extraordinary experiences, will produce extraordinary individuals" and works tirelessly to provide innovative experiences for young people creating memories that last a lifetime.
Devon produces one of the largest annual fundraisers and youth fashion shows in Philadelphia, the F.O.C.U.S. Fashion Show, which draws 250 youth and families from around the city, to help celebrate the unique accomplishments of our youth. Devon is also author of 2 books, Bus 23: Tips and Strategies to Help Teens Overcome Peer Pressure, an interactive book with lessons and critical thinking questions to help kids overcome negativity in their lives, particularly, Peer Pressure, as well as 7 Steps to a Successful School Year: A Complete Guide to Help Students Succeed in School. He provides regular fun and innovative workshops and seminars to schools, non-profit, and church youth groups to help youth overcome peer pressure and develop the skills they need to have a positive impact on the world.
As an entrepreneur, Devon has started numerous successful businesses including a Wellness and Nutrition company, an all-natural soy candle company, a faith-based apparel company and has authored two books. These businesses have grossed over $75,000 in sales since 2017 while helping to free his family of debt and provide financial freedom for he and his family.
